We love to hear from all our Workplace Clubs throughout NI. Lisburn JBO have recently set up a brand new club and have took no time getting their first activity organised for their members! Enjoy the update from Terry Agnew;
‘So, after weeks of blood, sweat and tears we finally had our first outing as the Lisburn JBO Sports & Social Workplace Club ! I can safely say that this was a very successful outing, which I’m sure will be backed up by all who attended.
The evening began with a team event (names drawn out live on Sky Sports that morning). 4 evenly matched teams going full pelt to lift the heralded mini trophies….. After a nervy start, proper order eventually took over and the cream started to rise with Team 2 taking the team honours, assisted by the ‘Slow & smooth’ balls of Stephen, the 144 score from Michael, and the ever improving Lorraine. Presentations took place over a delightful banquet of buffet food…..
After the interval it was dog eat dog, and every man/woman for themselves! This prompted all the real competitors to come to the fore, and there was some brilliant scoring, not least a 166 from Sarah!! (Who got so excited and decided to try a dive down the bowling lane herself!!!)
After a few more fast and furious rounds, the top individual was Caroline (and she’s not competitive at all!!) but everyone were good sports and gave it a go even Karen McKenna who took home the God loves a Trier prize. All in all, a great nights entertainment was had, and we look forward to out next outing – A trip to Down Royal Races!!!’
Bring on the Races… we can’t wait for all the photos!
