NICS Rugby Club Awarded for Developing Young Rugby Players.

NICSSA affiliated club, NICS Rugby Club were recently awarded for their fantastic success over the past five years in developing young rugby players with the appointment of a funded Ulster Rugby community development officer.  Dan Carson has been appointed to recruit u12 players into the club to assist Ulster Rugby in retaining mini players in the sport and expanding to include new players.

NICS Rugby club have grown their junior age-grade section from zero players to close to 200 registered players currently playing for mini and junior teams, creating a pathway for young people from age five through to adulthood.

He already has a presence in local schools and the club plan to host a series of u12 and u14 high school tournaments in January and February to boost the recruitment plan.
